Botox is something that you hear quite a bit about, undoubtedly, but maybe you’re not sure what it is. If you’re here then yes, you absolutely have some idea, but we’re going to clue you in on precisely what it is and what it can do for you if you just sit back, relax, and let us inject. Botox injects are very common and while they are great for addressing aesthetic issues, they can be used for many other purposes, some that you might not have fully realized yet.
What are Botox Injections?
Before getting into what Botox injections are, you should know that it is short for Botulinum toxin. Don’t let the word ‘toxin’ scare you! It’s not as bad as you think! This neurotoxin is capable of ‘freezing’ muscles in place, ensuring that they are able to retain the desired shape, and is therefore a great way to counteract the all too unpleasant effects of aging.
As we become older, we begin to lose collagen in our skin, and sagging becomes inevitable. Botox does a great job of addressing this problem and helping us to keep our faces in prime condition, but what else can it do? Let’s explores of the numerous health benefits of Botox.
The Health Benefits of Botox
Any Botox injection doctor in Miami will be glad to tell you that Botox is great for more than just aesthetic improvements and it doesn’t cost that much. It can also help with the following:
- Muscle Stiffness
- Muscle Spasms
- Loss of Bladder Control
- Overactive Bladder
- Chronic Pain
As you can see, Botox has many uses, and it’s not just for people who want to offset the aging process. This is a legitimate procedure with many uses, and it’s a great way to improve your quality of life.
Migraines – Many people suffer from migraines and with just a few treatments every few weeks, they can be alleviated. Because of the media stigma that is directed at Botox, many are hesitant to try this, but the results simply cannot be argued with.
Incontinence – Bladder problems can be more than embarrassing, and they can actually cause you to change your entire mode of dress. Generally, the condition is caused by weakened pelvic muscles and Botox injections can help you to hold it in place, so to speak.
Muscle Spasms – This condition is widely regarded as Bell’s Palsy and a Botox injection will actually help you out by freezing the muscles responsible. This treatment is common for both muscle spasms and MS, putting a stop to twitching, jerking, and spasms.
Chronic Pain – The definition of chronic pain is actually pretty wide and it can be tied to many different conditions. This includes degenerative diseases, injuries, spasms, and other issues that do not go away over time. Botox is commonly used to treat chronic pain so that the patient will be able to return to living a normal life.
Dr A is the absolute best. I felt cared for every time I went to see him (3 before actual surgery) no matter how silly my question was. However the clinic staff was not as welcoming. The one thing I did not like is the day after my surgery I was seen by a nurse and not him. I did not ask to see him either as it was a very simple visit mostly to check my garment and give me post-op instructions one more time. I’m thinking about a breast lift+implant and I WILL no doubt put myself on his hands for it.
